HANOVER, Ind. – The Hanover Panthers are set to host an NCAA Football Playoff Game for the first time since 2002, welcoming Presidents' Athletic Conference at-large bid Grove City to Alumni Stadium.
The Panthers have hosted three times – 2002 against Wittenberg, 1999 against Ohio Northern, and 1997 against John Carroll. They hold a 1-8 record in postseason action, with their lone victory coming on the road against Hope in 2000.
NCAA RANKING
The Panther defense is among the best in the nation, ranking 12th overall in fewest yards allowed per game (235.9) and total yards allowed (2,359).
Offensively, Hanover ranks among the top 25 in yards per game (456.2) and total yards (4,562).
Eian Roudebush ranks ninth among Division III in efficiency (178.9), 12th in passing touchdowns (29), and 22nd in total passing yards (2,610).
HCAC CHAMPIONS
Hanover claimed their first title since 2019, handing Mount St. Joseph their first Conference loss in four seasons.
Hanover ranks the best among the league in points (417), points per game (41.7), and total touchdowns (58). Defensively, the Panthers led the HCAC in fewest touchdowns allowed (16), fewest points (126), and fewest points per game (12.6).
HANOVER BY THE NUMBERS
Eian Roudebush leads the offense this season, averaging 261.0 yards per game through the air with 29 touchdowns. He has posted a 178.87 passer rating.
Don Dunning has dominated the backfield, rushing for a team-high 423 yards on 71 carries, averaging 60.43 yards per game.
Curbrian Shelby has recorded 913 yards through the air on 59 receptions. He is averaging 91.3 yards per game for a team-high 10 receiving touchdowns.
Brian Wall continues to be key in halting the opponent's offense, recording 59 stops, 33 solo tackles, and four tackles for loss.
Ashton Schuetter has tallied 51 stops, 31 solo, with two sacks and 5.5 tackles for loss.
GROVE CITY PREVIEW
The Wolverines enter the Playoffs on an eight-game win streak, finishing the PAC with a 7-1 record.
Grove City claimed an NCAA Playoff Victory two seasons ago, defeating Susquehanna 21-20.
The Wolverines enter the 2025 contest averaging 31.1 points per game and 305.6 yards per outing, while allowing 17.5 points per game and 307.2 yards per contest.
Under center, Ethan Wiley leads the program, averaging 99.86 passing yards per game, while teammate, Chase Rankin averages 68.6 yards per game on the ground.
