Five Panthers Earn Top HCAC Honors

CARMEL, Ind. – Hanover captures several Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference top honors, announced Wednesday afternoon by the league office.
 
Eian Roudebush was named the HCAC Offensive Player of the Year. Sophomore Brian Wall earned HCAC Defensive Player of the Year honors. Senior Clint Hearne was awarded the Special Teams Athlete of the Year. Head Coach Matt Theobald was awarded the Coach of the Year honor, while Chase Burton was named the Coordinator of the Year.
 
Hanover claimed 13 First Team honors, four Second Team accolades, as well as two Honorable Mention.
 
Eian Roudebush
Roudebush leads the league in passing efficiency at 171.0 while throwing for 30 touchdowns and 2,788 yards. He has thrown a HCAC low five interceptions, averaging 253.5 yards per game. On the ground, he ranks second on the team in total rushing yards at 379 on 104 attempts. He averaged 34.45 yards per game.
 
Brian Wall
Wall ranks among the top 10 in the league in total tackles with 66, 40 of which were solo stops. He has recorded two interceptions and two pass breakups, as well as a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. He is part of a defense that ranks first in the HCAC in fewest touchdowns allowed and fewest yards allowed.
 
Clint Hearne
Hearne leads the league this season with the longest field goal made at 52-yards, tying a school record. He is 6-of-8 this season in field goal tries, with a perfect 4-for-4 mark outside of 40-yards.
 
Matt Theobald
Theobald is in his 10th season with the Panthers, posting a 71-38 overall record. He made his third post season appearance, winning the teams second NCAA Playoff win in program history over Grove City. Theobald leads both an offense and defense that ranks among the best in the HCAC.
 
Chase Burton
Burton claimed offensive coordinator of the year after leading one of the most productive offenses in the league. Hanover is averaging a league best 40.0 points per game. They have scored 61 touchdowns and 440 points with six made field goals.
