DEMOREST, Ga. – The Panthers (3-1 overall) claimed a non-conference win on Tuesday afternoon, defeating Piedmont in a road contest, 7-6.
ON THE MOUND
Chris Hautman got the start on the mound for the Panthers pitching five complete innings with six strikeouts.
Senior
Ashton Dickmann (Greenfield, Ind.) captured the win, throwing two complete innings and recording two K's.
Junior
Jack Woodard (Carmel, Ind.) recorded his first save of the year closing out the contest facing a single batter, throwing three pitches.

Hanover claimed the lead in the top of the seventh inning as senior
Jake Danneman (Edgewood, Ky.) hit a triple, plating three runs for a game-high three RBI, 6-4.

Reid Douglas (Rossville, Ind.) secured the team's final RBI with a sacrifice fly to right field that propelled Hanover to the 7-6 victory.
Hanover returns to action on Friday, Feb. 28 when they take on Oglethorpe in Maryville, Tenn. Game time is set for 4:00 PM.
