Parker's Second Straight Nine-Point Game Helps the Panthers Set Program Best Four Consecutive Road Wins

Brevard, NC - The Panthers (4-1 overall) concluded their winter break trip today at Brevard College, defeating the Tornadoes 20-4, marking a program best of four consecutive road wins.

Hanover came out looking to score right away, netting the first goal off an alley dodge by senior midfielder Owen Cuniffe, in the first fifteen seconds. Minutes later, freshman midfielder Kasey Hospelhorn would score unassisted to put HC up 2-0 with ten and a half minutes left in the first quarter.

As the pace of play began to settle, the Tornadoes of Brevard were able to find success and get on the board, keeping things interesting at 2-1 midway thru the quarter. Hanover would respond by putting up ten unanswered goals to through the remainder of the first half. Five of these goals came from senior midfielder Owen Parker, with senior and sophomore midfielders Owen Cuniffe and Gabe Hetrick as well as freshman attackman Dean Henderson assisting three of the five goals. The other five goals were a combination of junior attackmen Ethan Abdoo and Colin O'Brien, and sophomore and freshman midfielders Gabe Hetrick and Kasey Hospelhorn.

The Panthers closed out the first half leading 12-1, lead by senior midfielder Owen Parker with 5 points at the half and freshman defenseman Leonard Hughes who had 7 GB and 4 CTO at the end of the half.

HC maintained full control of the tempo, and dominated time of possession once more in the second half. Senior midfielder Owen Parker would lead the way for the Panthers as they looked to close out, adding four more to his point total, marking his second consecutive game with 9 points. Freshman defenseman Leonard Hughes also had a career day with 12 groundballs and 5 caused turnovers.

Hanover went on to secure the victory at 20-4, and have now stamped the name of the 2025 Men's Lacrosse Team in the record books as the current leader for the most consecutive wins on the road in a single season, under the guidance of Coach Michelangelo Butturi.
