CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Panthers (8-13 overall, 4-3 HCAC) traveled to Cincinnati, OH to finish their three game series against Mount St Joseph and were able to win the series winning two out of the three games. The Panthers surrendered game one to MSJ 7-3 before winning the second game 8-2.

GAME ONE
At The PlateÂ
The scoring started late with the first run coming in the sixth inning on a Senior
Reid Douglas (Rossville, IN) RBI single.
The Panthers tried to mount a comeback but came up short, only scoring two runs in the ninth coming. One run coming off an RBI single by Senior
David Newbanks (New Albany, IN) and the other scoring on an error.
On the Bump
Senior Christ Hautman (Lawrenceburg, IN) got the start and tossed for six innings striking out six. Junior
Quinten Shewmaker (Floyds Knobs, IN) came into relief in the seventh inning allowing no hits. Sophomore
Ashton Carie (Madison, IN) came pitched relief in the eighth inning striking out two and allowing no hits.
GAME TWO
At The Plate
Hanover scored two runs in the second inning off a Sophomore Wes Stiller (Greenfield, IN) triple.
Another four runs were scored in the sixth inning extending the lead for the Panthers with the final run in the inning coming from a RBI single by Junior
Owen Boyce (Kennesaw, GA).
Senior
Reid Douglas put the Lions to sleep with a two Run Homer in the ninth inning.
On The Bump
Freshman
Dylan Lloyd got the start for the third game of the series pitching four innings allowing two runs and striking out three. Freshman
Wyatt Colvin came into relief for 3 2/3 innings keeping the Lions scoreless. Junior
Josh Simpson was tasked with closing the game allowing no runs and striking out one.
The Panthers hope to better their record some more when they go to Louisville, KY to take to on Spalding University on April 2nd. Game time is set for 6:00 PM EST.
