MARIETTA, Ohio – The Panthers (3-6 overall) seventh-inning rally fell short as they dropped a non-conference contest with North Central College on Saturday afternoon at Marietta College, 8-6.

After falling behind 3-0, senior
Sam Perkins (Louisville, Ky.) plated the team's first run in the second inning with an RBI to second base.
Hanover added another run in the third inning off the bat of senior
Reid Douglas (Rossville, Ind.). The senior doubles to left center scoring senior Jack Danneman, 3-2.
The Panthers claimed the lead for a brief moment in the seventh inning following a pair of RBI from Douglas and senior
David Newbanks (New Albany, Ind.), 6-5.
But North Central scored three runs in the bottom half of the inning for the 8-6 win.
ON THE MOUND
Senior
Chris Hautman (Lawrenceburg, Ind.) got the start throwing five complete innings with a game-high six strikeouts. He allowed just one earned run on seven hits.
Freshman
Wyatt Colvin (Prospect, Ky.) moved to 0-1 overall pitching relief for Hanover, allowing three runs on three hits.
Hanover returns to action on Sunday at 1:00 PM when they take on Muskingum.
