Box Score MARIETTA, Ohio – Hanover (3-7 overall) found themselves locked in a high-scoring affair on Sunday afternoon with unbeaten Muskingum. The Panthers fell in the contest, 15-9.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
The Muskies plated the game's first run in the top of the third inning when Hanover responded. Senior
Reid Douglas (Rossville, Ind.) provided the clutch hit as he doubled down the left field line scoring seniors
Jake Danneman (Edgewood, Ky.) and
Sam Perkins (Louisville, Ky.), 2-1.
However, the Panthers were once again plagued by misfortune in the fourth inning allowing Muskingum to score seven runs on six hits including a pair of home runs, 8-2.
The bottom half of the inning saw Perkins claim his first RBI of the afternoon with a single through the left side. Danneman added another run on a sacrifice fly to deep right field setting the stage for senior
Eric Roudebush (New Palestine, Ind.). Roudebush delivered with a three-run no-doubter that pulled HC within 8-7.
The top half of the fifth inning saw Muskingum score three runs while Hanover added one in the bottom half.
Hanover plated what would be their final run in the sixth inning off the bat of junior
Josh Simpson (Bardstown, Ky.) who singled through the middle, 12-9.
ON THE MOUND

Will Rodriguez (Deland, Fla.) got the start for the Blue and Red throwing three and two third innings facing 22 batters.
Freshman Bradley Zekel (Erlanger, Ky.) entered in the sixth inning throwing a very impressive and effective two and a third innings. He allowed just one hit and struck out one.
Hanover returns to action on Saturday, March 15 when they travel to Millikin. First pitch is slated for noon.
