HANOVER, Ind. – The Hanover Panthers (8-4 overall) welcomed non-conference foe Wilmington to Collier Arena on Wednesday evening, defeating the Quakers 3-1 (25-7, 25-16, 21-25, 25-14).

Elliot Mays, tying a game-high 13. Senior
Maddie Robertson recorded 11 kills.

Megan Vogel dished out an impressive 25 assists, with sophomore
Brooke Gervers adding 18.
Sophomore
Madison Schicker dominated the back row, picking up 23 digs.
PLAY-BY-PLAY
Gervers helped propel Hanover to a 13-3 advantage with success at the service line, while getting kills from McCoy and Mays. Freshman
Kinzee Dean added a pair of aces and a kill that gave HC a 21-6 lead. Robertson recorded the final point with a kill off an assist from Vogel.
The second set saw the Panther success continue, surging ahead 6-1 with kills by McCoy and Robertson. Freshman
Molly Welborn extended the Hanover lead with a kill before Robertson and Vogel added back-to-back attempts, 17-10.
Brooklyn York secured the set with a kill off an assist from McCoy.
After surrendering the third set, the Hanover Panthers regrouped and went on the attack. Using an 8-0 run, the Blue and Red were able to claim a 10-4 lead. With all the momentum, Hanover rattled off another five points, capped by a senior
Kelsey Waggoner kill for a 19-10 difference. The rest was history as the Panthers secured the win.
Hanover returns to action on Saturday, Sept. 20 when they travel to DePauw.
