Women's Soccer Ties at Ohio Weselyan

Delaware, OH - The Panthers took to the road again today, this time to Delaware (OH), to take on Ohio Wesleyan University.

Hanover started strong early, possessing well and generating opportunities on offense. In the tenth-minute of action HC found themselves up 1-0 after an own goal by the Battling Bishops off an HC corner kick.

OWU spent the next twelve-minutes scrapping and clawing to get back to even, and eventually found a crack in the Panther's defense and tied it up at 1-1 in the twenty-fourth minute. The remainder of the first-half went scoreless despite the two teams combining for seventeen first-half shots.

Coming out of the break, Hanover held pace and continued to compete hard for possession. HC outpaced OWU in nearly every statistical category in the second half including shots (9-8), saves (3-1), corners (5-0), and fouls taken (3-1).

Senior goalkeeper Emma Patterson played all ninety-minutes (in frame) tonight for the Panthers, as did sophomore back Lilian Muhlenamp and freshman back Anna Black.

The Panthers are now 2-3-2 and will return to the pitch this Sunday, at home, hosting the Cardinals from North Central College.
