HOW IT HAPPENED
On a slippery pitch, the Cardinals looked to strike first, pressing the net for much of the first half. Despite a strong defensive effort from the Panther backline, North Central was able to find the back of the net in the 23
rd minute, 1-0.
Hanover hunted for an equalizer at the 19 minute mark, getting a great cross from sophomore
Lilly Clark that just missed teammate sophomore
Emma Gill. The Panthers finished with two first half shots.
The Cardinals added a pair of goals in the second half, securing the 3-0 decision. The lone Panther goal came in the 79
th minute off a penalty kick from Horsley.
Hanover returns to action on Saturday, Sept. 27 when they open Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference action with Franklin.
