Play-by-Play and Hanover's Path to Victory
The game began with Alma College winning the coin toss and deferring. Hanover received the opening kickoff, starting their first drive at their own 25-yard line. Early in the game, Hanover benefited from an Alma College horse collar tackle penalty that gave them 15 yards and a first down.
As the game progressed, both teams traded scores, with Alma College taking a 20-10 lead by the third quarter. However, Hanover showed resilience and began their comeback:
After falling behind, Hanover's offense found rhythm with Roudebush connecting with his receivers on several key third downs.
A critical sequence came late in the game when Hanover's defense forced Alma to attempt a 4th-and-one conversion at Hanover's 30-yard line. Alma's Brian Morgan was tackled for a two-yard loss by Ashton Schuetter and Brian Wall, resulting in a turnover on downs.
Hanover capitalized on this defensive stand with a drive featuring Roudebush's five-yard run followed by Nation's four-yard gain, setting up a manageable third-and one situation.
In the final moments, Alma College had one last opportunity with Carter St. John orchestrating a desperate drive that resulted in a Panther stop.

The game ultimately came down to Hanover's defense making a final stand, preventing Alma from getting into field goal range in those final seconds. Hanover's ability to execute in high-pressure situations, combined with timely defensive stops, allowed them to complete the comeback and secure the narrow 24-23 victory.
