RICHMOND, Ind. – The Panthers (10-4 overall, 6-1 HCAC) remain among the top of the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference after defeating Earlham, 76-55.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
Junior
CJ Walls dominated for the Blue and Red scoring a game-high 20 points with seven rebounds. The junior went 8-of-11 from the floor with two made three-pointers.
Sophomore
Jack Miller netted 17 points with nine boards and two steals.
Sophomore
Malachi McNair added 15 points for the Panthers.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Hanover gave Earlham all they could handle in the first half shooting their way to a 14-4 difference. Leading the surge was Walls and junior
Cam Freeman at the point. The offense explosion ensued as McNair combated a Quaker attack to reclaim momentum. The Panthers finished the first half shooting 58 percent from the floor including a pair of Miller free-throws to put HC in front 40-22.
The second half saw Hanover extend their lead using a series of runs, leading the charge was Miller and McNair as the Panthers soared to the 62-42 advantage. Junior
William Herald made a splash at the 7:40 mark and the rest was history.
Hanover returns to action on Wednesday, Jan. 14 when they travel to Rose-Hulman. Game time is scheduled for 7:30 PM.
