HANOVER, Ind. – The Panthers (9-4 overall, 5-1 HCAC) dominated the offensive side of the floor on Wednesday evening, defeating Transylvania in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference action, 73-71.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Hanover had Collier Arena rocking early with a 10-0 run that saw senior
Davis Olson connect from long range to push the Panthers in front 12-5. With the offense firing on all cylinders, Gatlin remained unstoppable, getting a fastbreak dunk with 10:33 remaining, 21-11.
Transylvania cut the difference to 25-17 when Olson once again drained a corner three-pointer that sent the fans into a frenzy. Hanover held the 35-32 edge at the break, shooting 46 percent from the floor.
After shutting down the Pioneer post play that sent them in front 40-37 at the 16:23 mark in the second half, Walls went to work. The junior netted back-to-back three-pointers flipping the script back in favor of the Blue and Red. Freeman placed the exclamation point on the win with a scoop and dunk that was key in a 21-4 Panther run. Alexander added three key free throws.
Hanover returns to the hardwood on Saturday, Jan. 10 when they travel to Earlham. Game time is slated for 3:00 PM.
