HANOVER, Ind. – The Panthers (0-1 overall) opened the 2026 season on Tuesday afternoon with a trip to Wabash, surrendering the non-conference contest 14-4.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
Sophomore
Kasey Hospelhorn paced the Panther attack with a team-high seven shots, five of which landed on goal. He also added a goal and one assist.
Freshman
Mack Langridge tallied his first career goal on five shots along side teammate, freshman
Jack Deweese who also tallied his first goal on five total attempts.
In frame, senior
Matthew Hillard got the start, playing all 60 minutes posting a game-high 23 saves.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Kasey Hospelhorn was able to use success on the face-off winning the match-up and finding teammate
Mack Langridge for his first career goal at 7:19 in the first frame, 1-1. Deweese found the back of the net with 3:12 remaining to knot the score 2-2. The Panthers closed out the first period with eight shots on goal before being held scoreless in the second frame.
The Panthers found a goal to open the second half as Hospelhorn claimed his second of the afternoon at the 4:31 mark, 12-3. Closing out the scoring for Hanover was
Cole Skinner who got an assist from teammate,
Leonard Hughes.
Hanover returns to action on Saturday, Feb. 21 when they travel to Franciscan.
