Box Score TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Hanover (13-13 overall) dropped out of the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament on Saturday afternoon as they fell on the road to the no. 3 seed Rose-Hulman Fightin' Engineers 71-62.

Jeremiah Alexander led the Panthers with a team-high 16 points and four rebounds.
Sophomore
Malachi McNair netted 12 points with 10 rebounds, while sophomore
Sheldon Gatlin added 14 points.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The two teams were fairly even in the first half as a Walls three-pointer at the 14:44 mark put Hanover in front 11-10. McNair extended the lead to 17-12 as he dominated in the lane.
The Panther offense also got great output from sophomore
Luke Miller and senior
Davis Olson who helped combat a Rose-Hulman run. The Fightin' Engineers got the final say of the first half with a three-pointer at the buzzer that put them in front 30-29.
The second half saw Rose-Hulman claim their largest lead, 48-38, when the Panther bench erupted. Leading the charge was
Sheldon Gatlin with a pair of corner pocket three-pointers.
Alexander used his quick guard play to get to the free throw line and cut the difference to 50-48. However, the second chance opportunities for Rose-Hulman helped them keep the slight edge. The sophomore continued to get to the line sinking a pair of bonus free throws before connecting on a floater in the paint with 3:20 remaining to cut the lead to 56-54.
Gatlin remained red hot from three-pointer as he sank his third three-pointer of the afternoon with just over two minutes to play. However, Rose-Hulman remained efficient offensively to claim the HCAC Tournament advancing win.
