HANOVER, Ind. – The Panther (3-5 overall) offense was stifled on Wednesday afternoon, as they fell to the Thunder of Trine 18-5.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
Freshman
Jack DeWeese led the Panthers with a team-high eight shots and two goals. He landed four on frame and collected three ground balls.
Sophomore
Kasey Hospelhorn added two goals on five shots for a combined three points.
In frame, senior
Matthew Hillard got the start playing 35 minutes with 10 saves.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Trine dominated much of the contest, when senior
Colin O'Brien propelled HC on the scoreboard. The senior found the back of the net midway through the second period on a Hospelhorn assist.
DeWeese tallied his first goal of the afternoon with 1:03 remaining in the second period as Hanover entered the intermission trailing 11-2.
Hospelhorn and DeWeese paced the attack in the fourth period as the duo combined for three goals.
Hanover returns to action on Saturday when they celebrate Senior Day with Centenary.
