HANOVER, Ind. – Hanover (7-11 overall) pitched past Asbury in a midweek match-up that saw them allow just one run on three hits. Hanover claimed the single game 8-4.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Panthers dominated the midweek non-conference match-up, jumping on the Eagles quickly. Leading the RBI party was senior
Josh Simpson with a no-doubt homer to left field in the second inning, 1-0.
Hanover tacked on six runs in the third inning on five hits.
Fox Spears flew out to deep right field scoring senior
Trevor Jones before a Simpson single to right pushed Hanover in front 3-0.
Hanover rallied on two outs later in the inning with junior
Ben Morwick providing the clutch two out single to left extending the Panther advantage, 7-0.
The fourth inning saw the Blue and Red add an insurance run off the bat of freshman
Kadin Bush.

Will Rodriguez got the start on the bump, throwing three and two thirds inning with five strikeouts.
Junior
Quinten Shewmaker pitched two innings of scoreless relief to claim his first decision of the season.
Hanover through seven pitchers, combining for nine strikeouts.
The Panthers return to action on Saturday when they welcome Mount St. Joseph to K.T. Young Ballpark.
