Jackson, MS - Hanover (3-6 overall) played the final game of their three game series against Belhaven (11-0), looking to come away with a win in the series. Unfortunately, they battled the whole game and lost 12-11 on a walk off sacrifice fly in the bottom of the ninth inning. 

In the Box
Freshman Kadin Bush (New Albany, IN) started the five run second inning with an RBI single giving them an early lead of 5-2. The Panthers tallied three more runs in the fourth inning on a sac fly from Freshman Michael Kirk (Loveland, IN) and a two RBI single by Freshman Fox Spears (Danville, KY).

In the sixth inning, Freshman Michael Kirk added another RBI to his resume and extended their lead to five runs with a score of 10-5. The final run came across in the eighth inning on another Michael Kirk sacrifice fly. 

On The Bump
Sophomore Wyatt Colvin (Prospect, KY) got the job of starting the game for Hanover and lasted six innings allowing only four earned runs and striking out two. Junior Jake Morris (Indianapolis, IN) came into relief for an inning striking out three and allowing no earned runs. 

Freshman Michael Kirk closed it out surrendering just one run.

Hanover returns to action when they take on Milwaukee School of Engineering on March 14 in Sauget, IL. Game time is set for 10:00 AM EST.
