Box Score Sauget, IL - The Panthers (3-7 overall) traveled to Sauget, IL for the Webster invite to take on no. 24 ranked  University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh. Despite the hard-fought battle, the Panthers came up short losing 7-4.

In The Box
Hanover gathered their first two runs of the game in the first inning off a hit by pitch and a walk. In the fourth inning, Freshman Alek Yuskewich (Walton, KY) added a few more runs with a two run bomb, to put them up 4-2.

On The Bump
Senior John Girard (Richmond, KY) got the job of starting the game for Hanover. He lasted seven strong innings allowing only three earned runs on four hits and striking out 12. Junior Ashton Carie (Madison, IN) finished the game allowing no hits and striking out one.

Hanover will stay in Sauget, IL for day two of the Webster Invite when they look to take on the Milwaukee School of Engineering in hopes of putting a win on their record. Game time is set for 2:00 PM EST.
