CARMEL, Ind. – The Panther women's track and field team is set to compete as part of the three day Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship hosted by Transylvania.
ON THE TRACK
Senior
Callie Swegman enters the weekend as the favorite to win the 10,000-meter race with a top spot qualifying time of 38:14.94. Swegman ranks fourth in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 18:21.09, while ranking ninth among the HCAC in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:55.26.
Senior
Lauren Todd ranks fifth in the 10,000-meter run with a time of 44:04.21.
Freshman
Jennifer Guevara ranks ninth in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 19:20.55 and her teammate, senior
Elyse Wilson sits 10
th overall.
Wilson enters the weekend ranked fourth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 12:16.52.
In the 400 hurdles, senior
Lawson Phillips sits 10
th overall with a time of 1:18.77.
IN THE FIELD
In the shot put, junior
Cheyeann Leslie ranks eighth with a distance of 10.56 meters. Leslie sits fifth in the discus with a toss of 35.43 meters.
Senior
Kennadi Lakins sits 10
th overall in the high jump with a height of 1.40 meters. She ranks ninth in the shot put and seventh in the javelin throw.
