CARMEL, Ind. – The Hanover women's tennis team is set to open competition as part of the 2026 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament on Tuesday when they play host to Franklin at the Zeddies Tennis Center at 4:30 PM.
LAST MEETING
The last meeting between the two programs saw the Panthers surrender a 4-3 decision at Franklin.
Sophomore
Madelyn Santner was crucial in the team's performance as she teamed up with freshman
Savannah Heist to claim their no. 2 doubles match 6-1.
In singles play, Santner battled to a three set decision ultimately falling 5-7, 6-4, 3-6.
Sophomore
Annamarie Stogsdill dominated her no. 1 singles contest winning 6-2, 7-5.
Heist secured a win at no. 4 singles 7-6, 6-1 while her teammate, freshman
Maya Kett won no. 5 singles 6-2, 1-6, 6-3.
THE TOURNAMENT FORMAT
Transylvania claimed the top spot with Rose-Hulman landing second and Hanover third.
Earlham finished fourth overall followed by Anderson in fifth and Franklin in sixth.
The Panthers and Grizzlies will square off on Tuesday, April 28 at 4:30 PM with the winner advancing to the semifinals on Saturday, May 2 hosted at North Central High School in Indianapolis, Ind.
