ANDERSON, Ind. – The Panthers closed out the season with a split at Anderson securing the four seed in the Tournament.
GAME ONE
HOW IT HAPPENED
Hanover opened the doubleheader with a strong all-around performance, using an explosive first inning and dominant pitching to secure a 4-2 victory over Anderson.
The Panthers wasted no time getting on the board, plating three runs in the top of the first. Back-to-back singles from
Ben Morwick,
Ethan King, and
Michael Kirk loaded the bases before
Josh Simpson delivered an RBI single. Hanover capitalized on an Anderson error in the same sequence, and
Ben Brittingham added a sacrifice fly to cap the early surge.
After Anderson chipped away to make it 3-2, Hanover turned to its pitching to hold the lead.
Dylan Lloyd was exceptional on the mound, tossing a complete game while striking out 11 batters and allowing just two runs on six hits.

Lloyd pitched a complete game with 11 strikeouts and only two earned runs.
Brittingham went 2-for-4 with three RBI and a double.
GAME TWO
HOW IT HAPPENED
In the second game, Hanover battled but was limited offensively in a narrow 2-1 loss to Anderson.
The Panthers struggled to generate momentum at the plate early, managing just a pair of hits through the first seven innings while Anderson built a 2-0 lead.
Hanover broke through in the eighth inning when
Kadin Bush worked a walk and advanced into scoring position.
Trey Pipenger followed with a single, setting up
Ben Morwick, who delivered an RBI single to cut the deficit to one.
Despite the late push, Hanover couldn't complete the comeback, leaving the tying run stranded and finishing with just three hits.

Hanover returns to action next weekend when they compete as part of the HCAC Tournament as the no. 4 seed.
