HANOVER v CAPITAL
Hanover opened the Hanover Invitational with a strong 3-1 victory over Capital on Friday afternoon at Collier Arena, winning 25-9, 22-25, 25-17, 25-14. The Panthers improved to 6-3 on the season with the victory.
Match Highlights
Hanover's offense was led by an outstanding performance from Abbey McCoy, who finished with a career-high 26 kills while hitting .382. McCoy also added 14 digs, two block assists and an ace to finish with a team-high 28 points.
Molly Welborn provided another strong offensive performance with 14 kills on .281 hitting while adding 11 digs. Ryleigh Plunkitt contributed seven kills and three aces, while Emmerson Gott recorded three total blocks.
The Panthers also received a balanced setting performance. Megan Vogel recorded 22 assists, while Brooke Gervers added 15 assists. Defensively, Madison Schicker led all Panthers with 18 digs, followed by Kaelin Quinlin with 12 and McCoy with 14.
Hanover controlled the match statistically, finishing with 49 kills to Capital's 27, a 44-23 advantage in assists, and a 75-55 edge in digs. The Panthers also held a 10-5 advantage in aces.
After dropping the second set, Hanover responded by hitting .237 in the third set and an impressive .423 in the fourth, closing out the match with 15 kills and only four errors in the final frame.

McCoy's 26-kill performance powered the Panthers throughout the match, while Schicker and Quinlin helped stabilize the back row. Hanover's ability to finish sets three and four with strong offensive efficiency allowed the Panthers to pull away and secure the 3-1 victory.
 
HANOVER v MUSKINGUM
Hanover continued its strong start to the season Friday night, sweeping Muskingum 3-0 at Collier Arena, 25-21, 25-15, 25-15. The Panthers improved to 7-3 on the season with the victory.

Hanover controlled the match offensively, recording 40 kills on 111 attacks while hitting .261 as a team. The Panthers also held Muskingum to 26 kills and a .121 hitting percentage. Hanover's serving game was another major factor, as the Panthers finished with 13 aces compared to Muskingum's six. Hanover also held advantages in assists (32-21) and digs (59-50).
Abbey McCoy led Hanover's attack (11 kills, .231 hitting, 12 digs, 2 aces), while Molly Welborn provided another strong offensive performance (10 kills, .333 hitting, 3 digs, 2 aces). Hanover continued its winning ways Saturday morning, sweeping Blackburn 3-0 at Collier Arena, 25-18, 25-8, 25-17. The Panthers improved to 8-3 on the season with the victory.
Match Highlights
Hanover dominated offensively throughout the match, finishing with 40 kills on 84 attacks while hitting an impressive .357 as a team. The Panthers also held Blackburn to just 19 kills and a .041 hitting percentage. Hanover controlled the match from the service line as well, recording eight aces while Blackburn finished with six.
Abbey McCoy led the Panthers offensively (12 kills, .261 hitting, 6 digs), while Molly Welborn added a highly efficient performance (8 kills, .467 hitting, 2 aces, 1 dig). Ryleigh Plunkitt (5 kills, .364 hitting, 2 aces, 2 digs) and Kinzee Dean (5 kills, .417 hitting, 2 assists, 1 dig) also contributed strong attacking performances.

HANOVER v DEPAUW
Hanover battled its way to a thrilling 3-1 victory over DePauw Saturday afternoon at Collier Arena, winning 25-23, 22-25, 28-26, 27-25. The Panthers improved to 9-3 on the season in a match that featured momentum swings, extended rallies and four sets decided by five points or fewer.
Match Highlights
From the opening serve, Hanover and DePauw traded runs in what became one of the most competitive matches of the season. Hanover edged DePauw 25-23 in the opening set before DePauw answered with a 25-22 win in the second. The third set required extra points, with Hanover eventually pulling out a 28-26 victory to take a 2-1 lead.
The fourth set provided another dramatic finish. DePauw built a lead late in the set and appeared poised to force a fifth, but Hanover continued to fight back. The Panthers erased the deficit and eventually closed out the match 27-25, completing the comeback and securing the 3-1 victory.
Abbey McCoy led Hanover's offense throughout the marathon match (17 kills, .255 hitting, 9 digs, 4 aces), while Ryleigh Plunkitt provided a strong two-way performance (12 kills, .194 hitting, 2 aces, 2 blocks). Hanover's ability to stay composed in the tightest moments ultimately decided the match. DePauw held advantages in kills (68-56), blocks (12-3), and digs (96-83), but Hanover countered with a significant 15-6 advantage in aces.
The Panthers won three sets by a combined six points, including back-to-back extra-point victories of 28-26 and 27-25. Most importantly, Hanover refused to let the fourth set get away after falling behind, battling back late and finishing the match with one final 27-25 set victory.
