Panthers See Conference Win Streak Come to an End

ANDERSON, Ind. – The Hanover women's tennis team saw its conference win streak of 47 matches come to an end on Saturday afternoon as they fell to Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference foe Anderson, 6-3.

In doubles action, senior Cami Jones (Richmond, Ind.) and junior Mia Katzenberger (Crawfordsville, Ind.) teamed up at number two doubles to pick up the Panthers only win 8-5.

Jones competed at one singles for the Panthers dropping a hard fought match, 6-4, 5-7, 4-10. Senior Meghan Farrell (Indianapolis, Ind.) got the call at two singles where she defeated the Ravens in two sets, 6-1, 6-2.

The Panthers final win of the afternoon came at number four singles where Katzenberger registered her second win taking down the Ravens 6-3, 6-1.

Hanover returns to action on Wednesday, September 18 as they travel to Earlham. First serve is scheduled for 4 p.m.
