SEWANEE, TENN. - The Hanover women's tennis team dropped a pair of matches this past weekend in Tennessee as the Panthers fell to Piedmont 8-1 before falling to host Sewanee 9-0.

In the contest with the Lions, the Panthers lone victory came at No. 4 singles where senior Mia Katzenberger (Crawfordsville, Ind.) defeated her opponent 7-6, 6-4. 

Junior Haley Parker (Leo, Ind.) battled as part of No. 5 singles losing a tough match 7-6, 6-2. 

Rounding out the evening was sophomore Maddie Shannon (Anderson, Ind.) at No. 6 singles dropping the competitive match 6-4, 6-4. 

Despite a tough battle with the Tigers the duo of Parker and Katzenberger posted a strong performance as part of No. 3 doubles dropping a tight 8-7 contest.

Hanover returns to action on Sunday, March 15 as they host Franklin for Senior Day.
