HANOVER, Ind. – The Hanover women's tennis team opened the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament on Wednesday afternoon as they defeated Manchester as part of round one of play.
Play was halted due to weather and the higher seed advanced at the commissioner's discretion.

Linde Meerpoel (Wolvertem, Belgium) held a convincing 7-1 advantage at no. 1 doubles while sophomore
Isabelle Roberts (Brownsburg, Ind.) and sophomore
Melaina Tippery (Loogootee, Ind.) held the 7-0 lead at no. 2 doubles.
In singles action, senior
Cassie Froedge (Louisville, Ky.) had made strong progress at no. 5 singles leading the match 6-0, 1-0.
With the win, Hanover advances to the next round of the HCAC Tournament hosted by Transylvania.
