HANOVER, Ind. – The Hanover women's lacrosse team is set to open the 2021 campaign on Wednesday with a visit from Anderson. The contest is scheduled to begin at 3:00 PM.
THE HISTORY: The last time these two programs met dates back to the 2019 season when the Panthers posted a 20-2 victory. Hanover scored early and often in the contest as they were able to pressure the net with 38 total shots.
WE DID THAT: The Hanover women's lacrosse team becomes the first program in the last 10 years to compete in a regular season match-up with a division I opponent. The Blue and Red took on Butler as part of their 2020 season opener.
STATISTICALLY SPEAKING: Junior
Milah Young (Granger, Ind.) returns as the top goal scorer for the Panthers netting 12 a season ago. She also paced the offensive attack registering 17 shots on goal for a 65.4 shot on goal percentage. As a unit, Hanover posted a 48.8 shot on goal percentage with 60 goals, including three game winners.
BACK IN ACTION: The Panthers return to action on Sunday, March 7 when they travel to Mount St. Joseph. Game time is slated for 2:00 PM.
