The Panthers opened the match sweeping doubles play en route to the convincing 3-0 lead. The no. 1 doubles team of senior
Maddie Shannon (Anderson, Ind.) and freshman
Linde Meerpoel (Wolvertem, Belgium) paced the way winning their match 8-1.
Sophomore
Melaina Tippery (Loogootee, Ind.) and sophomore
Isabelle Roberts (Brownsburg, Ind.) won no. 2 doubles 8-7, while sophomore
Rachel Pinnick (Franklin, Ind.) and freshman
Lyla Waskom (Scottsburg, Ind.) won no. 3 doubles match 8-6.
The Panthers carried the momentum into singles action as Shannon took no. 1 singles 7-5, 6-1.
Teammate, Meerpoel claimed no. 2 singles in convincing fashion while Roberts captured no. 3 singles by way of tiebreaker.
At no. 4 singles, Tippery claimed a hard fought 6-2, 4-6, 10-3 win before Pinnick and senior
Cassie Froedge (Louisville, Ky.) closed out the 9-0 victory.
Hanover returns to action on Sunday, Oct. 3 when they take on Transylvania.
