Milah Young (Granger, Ind.) surpassed 100 career points as the Panthers dominated Earlham on Thursday afternoon, 13-3.
With the win, HC moves to 6-5 overall and 2-0 in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference action.
Leading the Panthers was sophomore
Masi McNally-Henriksen (Zionsville, Ind.) with a team-high five goals.
The senior paced the Hanover attack as she found the back of the net just moments into the contest for the 1-0 lead.
Freshman
Katie Comer (Indianapolis, Ind.) added the team's second blow picking up her first career goal of the season before Young etched her name into the record books charting her 100
th career point at the 3:21 mark in the first frame.
McNally-Henriksen made her way into scores column as she helped propel the Blue and Red into the second quarter with the 4-0 advantage.
The scoring outburst continued as the HCAC Defensive Player of the Week, senior
Anne Breeding (Miamisburg, Ohio) extended the Hanover lead to 5-0.
Earlham netted their first strike at the 6:33 mark entering the intermission trailing 5-1.
The second half saw the Blue and Red extend the difference to 7-1 as McNally-Henriksen netted back-to-back goals before Young added a hat trick at the 8:07 mark.
Hanover never looked back as freshman
Anissa Weber (Westfield, Ind.) added her first career goal at the 11:27 mark to help HC secure the convincing 13-3 victory and remain perfect in HCAC play.
The Panthers return to action on Saturday, April 16 when they play host to Franklin. Game time is set for 1:00 PM.
