Box Score NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. – The Hanover women's tennis team took on the Tigers of Wittenberg Sunday afternoon, dropping the non-conference contest 7-2.
Hanover was led by the no. 3 doubles team of freshman
Hailey Vandeventer (Bloomington, Ind.) and sophomore
Lyla Waskom (Scottsburg, Ind.) winning the match 8-0.
The Blue and Red also claimed a victory at no. 6 singles, winning the match by default.
Junior
Rachel Pinnick (Franklin, Ind.) battled tough at no. 2 singles, falling in the competitive match 6-1, 6-3. Teammate, Vandeventter also looked to pick up a singles victory as part of no. 5 singles dropping the match 6-3, 6-2.
Hanover returns to action on Sunday, Feb. 26 when they take on the University of Southern Indiana. First serve is slated for 12:00 PM.
