Box Score 2 HANOVER, Ind. – Freshman
Sydnie Raisor (Campbellsburg, Ky.) paced the Panther (11-15 overall, 3-1 HCAC) attack as they swept Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference opponent Bluffton taking game one 6-2 before sweeping the nightcap 17-9.
GAME ONE
The Panthers blew the game wide open in the bottom of the second inning putting on a hitting clinic. Pacing the Panther offense was sophomore
Alex Miller (Miamisburg, Ohio) with a double to left field that scored freshman
Elliot Mays (Jeffersonville, Ind.). The scoring frenzy ensued as senior
Kendra Hutchison (Lafayette, Ind.) picked up an RBI with a single to center field. Freshman
Sydnie Raisor delt the final RBI of the inning with a shot to left field, 4-0.
The bottom of the fourth inning saw Hanover extend their lead as Raisor added another RBI with an impressive hit to left field scoring Hutchison, 5-0.
The final Panther run came in the sixth inning as Raisor once again provided the clutch hit propelling HC to the 6-2 victory.
Riasor led the Blue and Red going 1-for-3 with four RBI.
GAME TWO
Bluffton jumped ahead in the top of the second inning plating three runs on four hits and one Hanover mishap.
However, Hanover would get two runs back in the bottom half of the inning with Miller dealing the RBI double, 3-2.
Bluffton tacked on one run in the third inning and two in the fourth inning when the Blue and Red erupted.
The bottom of the fourth inning saw Hutchison single through the right side before a senior
Kensie Bradley (Greenfield, Ind.) fielder's choice pulled HC within 6-4.
Raisor closed out the inning as her impressive series continued with an RBI to center field that saw Hanover flip the script, 7-6.
Hanover went to work in the bottom of the fifth inning with Raisor once again bringing the big stick. The freshman hit a base clearing double that saw HC surge to the 11-6 lead. The Panther final run of the inning came from the bat of freshman
Sam Osborne (Brownsburg, Ind.)
Raisor called game in the bottom of the sixth inning as she connected for another base clearing triple that plated three runs en route to her 12
th RBI of the. afternoon and the Hanover victory.
Hanover returns to action on Saturday, April 8 when they travel to HCAC foe Mt. St. Joseph. Game time is set for 1:00 PM.
