HANOVER, Ind. – Over the weekend, several Hanover Panthers competed at various last chance meets.
Leading the Blue and Red at the NCC Carius/Gregory Invite was sophomore
Jessie Stenger (Brookville, Ind.) in the field events taking third in the shot put with a toss of 13.73 meters. She also finished eighth in the discus throw with a distance of 41.61 meters.
Senior, teammate
Jessica Beckman (Glenwood, Ind.) found success in the discus throw taking third with a toss of 44.65 meters. She also took seventh in the shot put with a distance of 12.76 meters.
In the pole vault, sophomore
Nina Jazdzewski (Paris, Ky.) landed 10
th clearing a height of 3.28 meters.
On the track, sophomore
Will Simpson (Jeffersonville, Ind.) finished sixth in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 16.91 seconds.
Senior
Zaleeya Martin (Shelbyville, Ind.) also took to the track running in the 100-meter dash, finishing the event with a time of 12.58 seconds.
Rounding out the Invite was senior
Jake Kehoe (Lagrange, Ky.) in the shot put finishing 15
th with a toss of 13.15 meters.
Hanover also had two athletes compete as part of the Fighting Chance Invite in the 1,500-meter run. On the men's side, senior
Robert Hoegeman (Monroe, Ohio) turned in a 18
th place finish while junior
Amberleigh Sorensen (Yorktown, Ind.) finished third in a time of 4:49.91.
