ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Senior Jessica Beckman (Glenwood, Ind.) concluded her decorative career in style on Thursday morning competing as part of the 2023 NCAA Division III Track and Field Outdoor National meet hosted by St. John Fishers University.
 
The Hanover Co-Outstanding Senior Athlete of the Year narrowly missed All-American status finishing ninth in the 22-competitor field. The top eight at the national meet are deemed All-Americans.
 
Beckman opened the day strong with a toss of 43.25 meters. However, she followed it up with her best throw of the afternoon where she tossed the discus 43.63 meters landing her ninth overall.
 
The senior concluded her Hanover career as the all-time record holder in the javelin and discus. She was an 11-time Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference honoree as well as an HCAC Conference Champion in three separate events and the 2023 Conference Thrower of the Year.
