HANOVER, Ind. – The Hanover women's tennis team picked up a hard fought 6-3 victory on Friday afternoon against Johnson University-Tennessee.
The no. 1 doubles team of senior
Isabelle Roberts (Brownsburg, Ind.) and senior
Rachel Pinnick (Franklin, Ind.) put HC on top 1-0 winning 8-6.
The final doubles win came at no. 3 doubles as the duo of junior
Lauren Hale (Crawfordsville, Ind.) and sophomore
Hailey Vandeventer (Bloomington, Ind.) won 8-3.
In singles action, Roberts captured no. 3 singles 6-0, 6-2 while junior
Lyla Waskom (Scottsburg, Ind.) took no. 4 singles 6-0, 6-1.
Vandeventer moved to 2-0 on the afternoon, winning her no. 5 singles match before Hale secured the contest at no. 6 singles.
