Football Lands 17 Honorees on the HCAC All-Conference List

CARMEL, Ind. – The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference announced the 2024 All-Conference honorees with 17 student-athletes being honored.
 
All-Conference First Team
Noah Caswell, Sr. – Madison, Ind. (10 GP)
Noah started all 10 games this season with 44 total tackles including 28 solo stops. He tallied seven tackles for loss for a combined 30 yards. The senior also added 2.5 sacks with a forced fumble

Jamey Deckard, Sr. – Bedford, Ind. (10 GP)
Deckard started all 10 games with 53 total tackles including 35 solo stops. He added two pass breakups and an interception. The senior also had 5.5 tackles for loss for a combined 12 yards.

Michael Gordon, Jr. – Nashville, Tenn. (10 GP)
Michael appeared in all 10 games this season as the starting wide receiver and punt returner. He tallied eight catches for 121 yards and a touchdown. Gordon also added 17 punt returns for a combined 219 yards averaging 12.88 yards per return.
 
Jacob Mutchler, Sr. – (Smithfield, Ky.) (10 GP)
Jacob played in 10 games this season with a forced fumble. He competed as a key member of the offensive line.

Eric Roudebush, Sr – New Palestine, Ind. (10 GP)
The senior appeared in and started 10 games with 29 receptions for a combined 455 yards. He averaged 15.69 yards per catch for six touchdowns. Eric finished the season averaging 45.50 yards per game. He also handled the punting for the Blue and Red with 35 attempts for a combined 1,359 yards. Roudebush averaged 38.8 yards per punt.

Brian Wall, Fr. – Sellersburg, Ind. (10 GP)
Brian Wall appeared in and started all 10 games with a team-high 45 solo stops. He also added 64 total stops and six tackles for loss. The freshman also had eight pass breakups with one interception.
 
David Wall, Sr. – Sellersburg, Ind. (10 GP)
David Wall recorded 32 total tackles starting all 10 games. The senior added eight tackles for loss and a team-high four sacks. He had eight quarterback hurries and two fumble recoveries. David had two blocked kicks.

All-Conference Second-Team
Clint Hearne, So. – Madison, Ind. (10 GP)
Hearne was named the HCAC Special Teams Athlete of the Week on three separate occasions. The sophomore had an impressive year going 7-for-8 on field goal tries including one over 50 yards. He posted a perfect 4-for-4 from inside 20 yards. Clint finished the season with a team-high 62 total points, 41 of which came on PAT's.
 
Garron Jenkins, Jr. – Greenville, Ind. (8 GP)
Jenkins tallied 30 tackles including 20 solo stops. He added 9.5 tackles for loss for a combined 35 yards. Garron had 2.5 sacks with a pass breakup, one quarterback hurry, and one forced fumble.
 
Austin Oppel, Sr. – Brandenburg, Ky. (9 GP)
Austin played nine games with 81 carries for a combined 431 yards and two touchdowns. He averaged 47.9 yards per carry. The senior also hauled in 30 catches for 268 yards and five touchdowns. He finished second on the team with 42 total points.

Jalen Peck, Sr. – Bloomington, Ind. (10 GP)
Jalen played and started all 10 games this season with 41 receptions for 454 yards. He averaged 11.07 yards per catch with three touchdowns. Peck finished the year averaging 45.40 yards per game. The senior also had three rush attempts for 27 yards.

Eian Roudebush, So. – New Palestine, Ind. (10 GP)
Eian led the Panthers under center throwing for 2,504 yards on 289 total attempts. He threw 29 touchdowns, averaging 233.6 yards per game. He finished the year with an impressive 165.72 passer rating.
 
Bryce Shepherd, Jr. – Fort Mitchell, Ky. (10 GP)
Shepherd started on the offensive line for the Panthers starting and appearing in all 10 games.
