Hanover drops non-conference contest to Trine

Box Score HANOVER, Ind. – The Panthers (2-5 overall) fell in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon to an aggressive Trine team, 19-4.

The Thunder controlled play for much of the first frame surging ahead 7-0 over a five minute span. However, Hanover responded as senior Taylor McNally-Henriksen (Zionsville, Ind.) was able to halt the surge at the 6:06 mark on a man-up free position shot opportunity, 7-1. Trine tacked on one final first period goal for the 8-1 advantage.

The second quarter saw Trine extend their lead after back-to-back goals gave them the 10-1 difference. But again, Hanover continued to hang around as senior Maggie Donovan (Zionsville, Ind.) navigated the Thunder defensive pressure finding the back of the net at 11:38, 10-2. Trine entered the intermission leading 15-2.

Senior Masi McNally-Henriksen (Zionsville, Ind.) entered the scores column in the third period as she connected on a free position attempt at the 12:42 mark.
