HANOVER, Ind. – Junior
Tommy Wilmoth qualifies for the 2026 NCAA Division III Indoor Championships in the shot put for the first time in his career. The event is set to take place in Burmingham, Ala. at the Birmingham Crossplex.
THE QUALIFYING MARK

FIRST NCAA APPERANCE
Despite this being his first trip to the NCAA Indoor Championships, it's not his first time on the big stage. Wilmoth qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Championships in the shot put in 2025. Tommy finished 19
th overall in the event.
SIZING UP THE FIELD
Wilmoth enters the weekend ranked seventh nationally, less than one inch separates him from a top five finish.
The favorite to win the event, from Wis.-Eau Claire, sits at a mark of 18.81 meters.
