LEXINGTON, Ky. – Hanover hit the road for Track action competing as part of the Pioneer Classic hosted by Transylvania.
ON THE TRACK
The 5,000-meter run, senior
Conner Watson secured the top spot with a time of 15:30.50. Him and his teammate, sophomore
Colin Kistler were the lone HCAC athletes to finish among the top 10 in the event.
Junior
Jayden Enderle dominated the 400-meter run, taking second overall in a time of 50.20 seconds. The time moves him into sixth all-time among the Panthers top 10.
Senior
Anthony Lloyd took fourth in the 100-meter dash, crossing the finish line in a time of 11.16 seconds.
The 4x100-meter relay team of Lloyd, Dugan Kingston, Brandon Ellison, and senior
Layden Adair finished the race in second place with a time of 42.45 seconds.
IN THE FIELD
Junior
Sean Woods won the pole vault with a height of 4.25 meters. Junior
Alex Howard secured second overall.
Junior
Tommy Wilmoth, recent Indoor All-American, took the top spot in the outdoor shot put with a toss of 17.03 meters. The mark is a new school record. He also won the discus with a distance of 44.25 meters.
Lloyd also found success in the high jump taking third with a leap of 1.88 meters.
In the long jump, sophomore
Alex Bower finished third with a distance of 6.78 meters. Ellison captured fourth with a leap of 6.54 meters.
