LEXINGTON, Ky. – Hanover hit the road to open the outdoor season with a trip to Transylvania for the Pioneer Classic.
 
ON THE TRACK
Sophomore Lilyanna Smith finished sixth in the 400-meter run with a time of 1:09.48.
 
In the 1,500-meter run, freshman Jennifer Guevara captured sixth overall in a time of 5:10.90.
 
IN THE FIELD
Senior Kennadi Lakins captured third in the long jump with a height of 4.48 meters. Lakins also finished third in the javelin with a distance of 25.65 meters.
 
Junior Cheyeann Leslie finished eighth in the shot put with a toss of 10.56 meters and eighth in the discus with a throw of 33.25 meters.
 
In the discus, freshman Clare Endris secured a personal best throw of 28.21 meters.
