HANOVER, Ind. – The Hanover baseball team gears up for the opening round of the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament. The tournament features a play-in format with a best of three game series and the winners advancing.
STATISTICALLY SPEAKING

Alex Christie (Greenwood, Ind.) enters the weekend with a team-best 42 RBI and 47 hits.
- He has appeared in and started 38 games for the Blue and Red with a .525 slugging percentage.

Andrew Littlefield (Louisville, Ky.) currently leads the team with nine homeruns and ranks second with a .497 slugging percentage.
- On the mound, senior
Eli Copner (Zionsville, Ind.) posted a strong campaign tying a team-high five wins.
- He has thrown five complete games with 61 strikeouts.
- Sophomore
Matthew Alter (Indianapolis, Ind.) has also tied a team-best five wins with 45 strikeouts.

- Hanover currently ranks second in the league in homeruns (40) and are tied for fifth in RBI (233).
HISTORY IN THE TOURNAMENT
- The Panthers have made five total tournament appearances, with one trip to the HCAC tournament championship series.
- Manchester leads the conference with 11 series championship appearances, while Anderson ranks second with eight.
WEEKEND MATCH-UP
- Hanover enters the weekend ranked sixth and travels to Anderson who finished the year ranked fifth overall.
