HANOVER, Ind. – The Hanover Panthers punched their ticket to the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Baseball Tournament for the first time since the 2005 campaign.
The Panthers enter the tournament as the no. 5 seed and will take on the no. 4 seed Anderson Ravens on Thursday, May 12 with first pitch slated for 12:30 PM. The Tournament will be hosted at a neutral site in Kokomo, Ind. and the Kokomo Municipal Stadium.
Hanover has a 3-10 overall record as part of the HCAC Tournament and making just their sixth program appearance.
The no. 5 seed doesn't have a strong history of success in the HCAC Tournament with the Panthers hoping to change that this week. The no. 5 seed is 0-2 in the first round as well as 0-2 when facing elimination.
Hanover finished the regular season at 16-20 overall and 10-8 in HCAC play.
