Box Score KOKOMO, Ind. – The Hanover Panthers bowed out of the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament on Friday afternoon after falling to Rose-Hulman in an elimination game, 14-6.
Leading the Panthers in the contest was designated hitter, sophomore
Connor Farnsley (Jeffersonville, Ind.). Farnsley connected for two RBI on three hits with a run scored.
Facing elimination, the Panthers came roaring out the gate using a two run first inning in rout to the advantage. The lead-off batter, senior

Alex Christie (Greenwood, Ind.) walk set the stage for senior
Charlie Burton (Columbus, Ind.). The senior dealt a sacrifice bunt that pushed both runners to scoring position.
Farnsley handled the rest as he connected for a triple to the left field fence plating both Littlefield and Chrisite, 2-0.
However, the FIghtin' Engineers refused to roll over, using a two run homer in the top of the second inning followed by a four run third inning to claim the 6-2 lead.
Hanover tried to play party spoilers in the bottom half of the third inning knotting the contest at 6-6. Burton started the inning with an RBI single to left field scoring Christie. Farnsley deemed clutch once more as he doubled to left center followed by a freshman
Jake Danneman (Edgewood, Ky.) game tying RBI.
Rose-Hulman refused to go away plating three runs in the fourth inning before adding a pair of insurance runs in the top of the fifth inning, 11-6.
They would go on to plate three more runs over the course of four innings claiming the 14-6 victory.
Hanover concluded the season at 16-22 overall and 10-8 in HCAC action. They advanced to the HCAC Tournament for the first time in 17 years after securing the no. 5 seed.
