HANOVER, Ind. – The Hanover baseball team, under guidance of head coach
Grant Bellak, has announced their 2022 schedule featuring a winter break trip to Myrtle Beach, SC where they will compete as part of the Cal Ripken Experience.
After a strong 2021 campaign, the Panthers will open the highly anticipated 2022 season with a trip to Centre College on Tuesday, Feb. 22.
The first pitch of winter break is slated for Saturday, Feb. 26 and Sunday, Feb. 27 with the Panthers taking on Maryville College in a three game series before trekking east for the Cal Ripken Experience. The week long break will feature matchups with Christopher Newport, University of Mary Washington, Purchase College, Neumann University, and Fredonia.
Hanover wraps up the early season road trips with a stop at Spalding on Saturday, March 12 before welcoming the Tigers of DePauw to K.T. Young Ballpark on Saturday, March 12 and Sunday, March 13 for their home series opener.
The Blue and Red welcome Centre College as part of a midweek matchup on Tuesday, March 15 then hit the road for Crawfordsville, Ind. taking on Wabash in a three-game series Saturday, March 19 and Sunday, March 20.
Hanover returns to K.T. Young Ballpark for the remainder of March welcoming Ohio Wesleyan the weekend of March 26 followed by the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference opener with Mt. St. Joseph on Tuesday, March 29.
The home stint concludes with Manchester on Saturday, April 2 before the Panthers head to Terre Haute, Ind. for a nightcap with Rose-Hulman.
They welcome Earlham on Saturday, April 9 and the Golden Eagles of Spalding on Tuesday, April 12 before heading to Anderson on Saturday, April 16 followed by Bluffton on Saturday, April 23.
Hanover wraps up the last leg of the regular season welcoming Transylvania on Tuesday, April 26 followed by a road trip to Defiance on Saturday, April 30 and Senior Day on Saturday, May 7 with rival Franklin.
The HCAC Tournament is scheduled to run from Thursday, May 12 through Saturday, May 14.
