CARMEL, Ind. – Senior John Girard was named the 2026 season's final Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week announced Monday afternoon by the league office.
 
Girard put a stamp on his stellar career becoming the Hanover all-time strikeout leader at Anderson with 247 career strikeouts and counting. He claimed the game one win throwing six and a third innings with a 0.00 ERA and seven strikeouts. He allowed just one run on two hits.
